Sinead O’Connor has announced two new tour dates in America next month, marking her first US shows since 2014.

For both performances, she is being billed as “Sineád O’Connor aka Magda Davitt”, the name she announced around the time of her interview on Dr.Phil in September last year.

She is set to announce a full and hopefully extensive tour this summer!

Let's hope that she pencils in an Irish date (or multiple) as there is no doubt she is one of our finest pop singers.

Irish actress Gemma-Leah Devereux has landed the role of Liza Minnelli in the BBC’s highly anticipated biopic about Judy Garland.

Devereux will star opposite Renee Zellweger, who takes on the lead role of ‘Miss Show Business’ Garland.

Devereux was not the only Irish actress to land a role in the film as Kerry actress Jessie Buckley will play Rosalyn Wilder, Garland’s production assistant.
