Back for Business is a new initiative to help returning Irish emigrants who are becoming entrepreneurs through setting up or acquiring a business on their return. 

The initiative is fully funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and there is no charge to those who are selected to participate.

Team SBS regular, Paula Fitzsimons is the Director of Back For Business and she joined Conall once again and brought with her two of  the programs Ambassadors, Denise O'Connor and Tom Brennan.

Denis O'Connor returned to Dublin in 2007 and set up Optimise Design, an award winning architecture & interior design firm. While Tom Brennan co-founded his business EirGen Pharma with in 2005. Tom told Conall how the business started with a single lap-top computer costing €175 and went on to be acquired by Miami based NASDAQ listed OPKO Health Inc. for $135 Million.

When asked who should apply for the Back For Business, Paula told Conall that the initiative was open to businesses who have spent at least one year living overseas, have moved home in the last three years or are about to move home and those who are about to set up or acquired a new business in the last two years.
