Iceland re-purposed a Greenpeace short film voiced by Emma Thompson and it will make you CRY.

The advert made has been deemed 'too political' and has been banned by the Advertising Standards body Clearcast in the UK.

They are responsible for clearing ads and said, "Clearcast and the broadcasters have to date been unable to clear an ad for Iceland because we are concerned that it doesn’t comply with the political rules of the BCAP code."

It may not comply with television rules but has been viewed and shared on social media thousands of times over.

It's an incredibly powerful, moving piece of film.

Posted on the Iceland YouTube channel they simply state:

"You won't see our Christmas advert on TV this year.

But we want to share our 'No Palm Oil' story with you this Christmas.

Say hello to Rang-tan. #NoPalmOilChristmas"

Earlier this year, Iceland became the first major UK supermarket to pledge to remove palm oil from all its own-brand foods.

This is a hard watch, but the truth always is...
