Una Healy is loving life right now.

The Tipperary singer is no stranger to fame, having recorded four albums with the massively successful pop group The Saturdays.

But now Una is going at it alone, and while she thinks about her old bandmates often, she's enjoying getting stuck into her solo career, "I miss them all the time but this is different, I've got free reign now. At the Sugar Club recently someone shouted out to play Sweet Child Of Mine and the band just jammed it."

It's a busy time for the talented musician, she's just released Stay With Me, the first single from her solo album The Waiting Game.

Una is married to rugby player Ben Foden and the couple have two children, Aoife Belle (4) and Tadhg John (2).

They live in England, where Una says Irish names are becoming more and more popular. While most people, including Aoife's little school pals, have no trouble spelling and pronouncing her name, one encounter with an English woman last year left Una laughing at her then three year old's feistiness.

"There was one quite rude woman, while Aoife was having a vaccination.

When she heard Aoife's name she said, 'What's that name, oh that's a very strange name.'

Aoife just looked at the woman and reeled off the spelling of her name and Una says that kind of shut the woman up a bit and put her in her place.

Una laughs it off, "It's not rocket science. Aoife was like, "Im a three year old and I can spell my name."

Just wait till Tadgh goes for his vaccinations!
