The young mammal became trapped in bogland in Cork on Sunday evening

Will Sliney jumped in along with his colleague Rupert Hugh-Jones  in the RNLI, to help guide a dolphin that was stranded due to extreme high tides in a bogland near Ballycotton on Sunday evening.

Both the all-weather and the inshore lifeboats with their volunteer crews were launched at 7.12pm following a request from the Ballycotton Coast Guard Unit who were also on scene.

Will is a comic book artist by day, and volunteers for the RNLI. He told The Anton Savage Show that they managed to guide the young mammal to deeper waters

Will was wearing a camera on his helmet, so you can watch the footage here
