Wednesday, 6 June 2018

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are bringing their extraordinary show to Ireland on Wednesday, 6 June - their first time performing in Ireland for over 10 years. The first announcement in a summer 2018 run of European concerts and festival headline slots, the beautiful grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin will host the band’s long overdue return to Ireland.

One of the most exciting, volatile and influential groups of musicians of the past 30 years, the band returned to the UK this September, for the first time since 2014, bringing their incredible show to arenas and garnering some of the best reviews of a decorated career, unfurling new album Skeleton Tree’s exquisitely moving compositions alongside their essential catalogue.

In a year highlighted by sold out dates around the world and awards including the GQ Award for Band Of The Year and AIM Special Catalogue Release Of The Year (for 2016’s Lovely Creatures), they have also just been nominated for 3 Australian ARIA awards including Best Live Act.

Very special guests on this magical evening will be the seminal and legendary poet, author and punk icon Patti Smith and her band. Her debut LPHorses was the beginning of a long musical career that resonates even greater today.  The album has achieved many notable recognitions over the years, and included on many all-time best album lists.  It has been followed by another nine albums of original material, books of poetry and a best-selling memoir, Just Kids; world tours and personal appearances, as well as induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Tickets go on sale on Monday 23rd October.
