Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited chronic ailment that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system of approximately 1,300 children and adults in Ireland today. Startling!
On this morning's show, Ashe Spillane chatted to Dermot and Dave about the effects the disease has had on her life, and how a drastic decrease in her lung functions whilst travelling resulted in her creating a '65 Day Plan'.
She made a conscious decision to monitor her diet and do the recommended exercises which aid in CF recovery.
Her results have been incredible, and give hope to others who are battling the disorder.
There is a very cute story behind the significance of the '65', which is to do with kids saying "sixty five roses".
We're wishing you all the best with your recovery Ashe.
Ashe is also running a GoFundMe page where she is collecting much needed money for charity. You can donate by clicking here.
