Switch your energy provider
Most of us don't do it, but you should switch every 12 months. There are 10 providers to choose from, so aim to get the discount rate.
Get a new broadband deal
Getting a TV, phone and mobile bundle gives you a decent price, with possible savings of €350 a year.
Cord cutting
Many of us have lots of TV channels that we never watch. If you are more inclined to use streaming services, go for a broadband-only plan to save money.
Get a SIM-only plan for your phone
Unlimited SIM deals provide very good value from about €15 a month, and you could save €500 a year.
Switch your mortgage protection plan
You could save €10 a month.

Make sure you're getting all tax relief
The home renovation scheme is due to end at the end of this year, so if you're thinking of home improvements, do it now.

Lots of people rent out a room in their home to students. You can earn €14,000 a year and don't have to pay tax.
