Ivanka Trump used a personal email account for government business, according to a report in the Washington Post.
Donald Trump's daughter apparently sent hundreds of emails from the account, to White House aides, cabinet officials and her assistants.
The revelation has provoked accusations of hypocrisy, as Hillary Clinton had previously been branded "Crooked Hillary" by Trump during the 2016 election campaign over her use of a private email server.
Ivanka's associates confirmed the story and stated that she had been unaware of some details of the federal records rules.
A spokesperson has denied that any of the emails contained classified information.
Cal Thomas and Marion McKeone discussed this story and more in our weekly US slot.
