Donald Trump hosted a dinner for football champions at the White House on Monday, serving only fast food.
The Clemson University football team, who were celebrating their win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship, were Trump's guests. However, staff cuts resulting from the government shutdown forced the President to set the menu, a spokesperson said.
Trump himself told reporters that the menu would consist of McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King and pizza, and predicted that the football players would enjoy it.
Cal Thomas and Marion McKeone discussed this and more in our US slot.
