We're spoilt for choice!

The whole "new year, new you" spiel may be wearing thin by now, but one thing we can guarantee is some great new shows on the box.

Dermot and Dave producer Maria Devereux is a walking TV guide and here's what she reckons we should be watching this week:

Catching a Killer: A Diary from the Grave - Tonight (Monday) @9pm on Channel 4

When elderly teacher Peter Farquhar was found dead at home in the village of Maids Moreton in 2015, it was sad and unexpected, but no one thought it suspicious. But 18 months later, when his neighbour Ann Moore-Martin also fell ill and died, the police decided to look again. They found that Ben Field, a would-be vicar and academic, had recently become part of both of their lives and benefited from their wills. This programme shows that by delving back in time through friends' and loved ones' memories of Peter and Ben's relationship, as well as Peter's diary, the police discovered a story of love and betrayal:

How to Steal Pigs and Influence People - Tuesday @10pm on Channel 4

Controversial documentary following a unique community of established vegan and ex-vegan influencers. Some of them are embarking on an escalating series of daring farmyard heists, others are devoted to their back-bedroom chicken sanctuaries, and some are extreme ex-vegans, now notorious for their jaw-dropping raw-meat-only diet. They enjoy hundreds of thousands of followers and know exactly what it takes to make an impact online.

The Outsider - Tonight @9pm on Sky Atlantic

Based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel of the same name, The Outsider is a new drama series that explores the investigation into the gruesome murder of a local boy and the mysterious force surrounding the case. The ten-episode series follows police detective Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn), as he sets out to investigate the mutilated body of 11 year-old Frankie Peterson found in the Georgia woods. The mysterious circumstances surrounding this horrifying crime leads Ralph, still grieving the recent death of his own son, to bring in unorthodox private investigator Holly Gibney (Cynthia Erivo), whose uncanny abilities he hopes will help explain the unexplainable:

Good Omens - Wednesday @9pm on BBC 2

Angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley are enjoying their lives on Earth and have become firm friends, but their comfortable existence is disrupted when Crowley is summoned by two demons, Hastur and Ligur, and presented with a newborn baby who is the Antichrist. The two friends vow to collaborate to ensure the boy will not bring about the end of the world. Neil Gaiman's adaptation of his and Terry Pratchett's fantasy adventure, starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant:

Movie of the Week

Beetlejuice - Wednesday @9pm on Comedy Central

Maria has gone for this 1988 Tim Burton classic. All together now, "Hey Mister Tallyman, tally me banana...":
