Anna and Dec were delighted to be joined by Irish athlete and former Irish Olympian Róisín McGettigan who has been a huge inspiration for runners and women in sport. She competed in her first Olympic Games in 2008 in Beijing.
After finishing second in her qualifying heat in the 3000 m steeplechase, she finished 14th in the final She was retrospectively awarded a European medal from the 2009 European Indoor Championship after the winning Russian was stripped of gold after doping conviction.
She is also the founder of the Dare to Believe programme bringing the dream of Olympics to schools across Ireland, which they did all this week on the RTE Home School Hub.
Róisín joined Anna and Dec today to talk about the programme and the importance of motivating the next generation to dream and believe they can achieve goals just as big as the Olympics too!
