This week's Milestone was brought to us by Colm Molloy in Co. Kildare, with a tune which always brings him back to one of Iano's old haunts, Sutton Castle, Co.Dublin, back in 1999.
It was his wedding day, and to his disbelief, the band didn't know their chosen wedding song (even though it had been no.1 for twenty weeks or so). To keep things moving, he asked his best man to get the band to play whatever track they felt best to play instead...and they did.
Now there's nothing wrong with a Celine Dion classic, usually, but Caitriona had some unsettling news for her new hubby. You couldn't make it up!!
The song they wanted was 'Love Is All Around' by Wet Wet Wet, so both that, and the Celine Dion song, are the epitome of a milestone music moment.
