Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Dublin yesterday for their first official overseas visit, and one person who got to meet them was Vicky Phelan.
Vicky was instrumental in exposing the CerivalCheck scandal and previously shared her story on The Last Word.
She was invited to attend a special reception for the Royal couple at the British Ambassador's residence, Glencairn House, in recognition of the difference she has made to wellbeing and health in Ireland.
Vicky found out about her invite last week. She says she welcomed the opportunity, despite not being a big Royal Family enthusiast.
"I wouldn't really be a fan to be honest, which sounds terrible considering I was invited last night. It was a networking opportunity. I knew a lot of the politicians were going to be there and that there might be some people with influence."
She did, however, watch the highlights of Harry and Meghan's wedding.
"I do like watching the glamour and the dresses, so I would be with the women on that one."
Vicky chatted to the couple "very briefly" as part of a group. The conversation was focused mainly on mental health, but Meghan told Vicky she had been following her story.
