Ramsey On 400k A Week Deal At Juve

How's your day going? Worried about your credit card bill? ESB and gas payments?

For many in the Premier League these aren't concerns.

Certainly not Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey anyway!

The Gunner has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Juventus in the summer in a deal that will earn him over £400,000 a week.

The 28-year-old has agreed a four-year contract that will see him join the Italian champions as a free agent, ending his 11-year spell with Arsenal.

Like a lot of things nowadays the news was announced on Twitter.

Ramsey passed a two-part medical in January, having picked Juve following talks with a host of European clubs.

He will be the highest-earning British player ever based on basic salary.

The Wales international's Arsenal contract expires on 30 June and the Gunners will receive no fee when he leaves.

Born on 26 December 1990 in the Welsh town of Caerphilly, Ramsey began his career at Cardiff City, graduating from the academy and going on to make his first team debut in 2007.

A succession of impressive performances from the then-youngster caught the eye of Arsenal, who signed the midfielder in July 2008.

Following the switch to North London, Ramsey went on to make his debut for the Gunners in their Champions League qualifier against FC Twente just over two months after signing.

As well as being recognised as a solid Premier League player, as far as the Italians are concerned, Ramsey brings a wealth of European experience, having played in 43 matches in the Champions League, scoring eight goals and providing four assists, a figure that rises to 50 in the qualifying stages, in which he has also scored three times.

On the international stage, Aaron Ramsey has 58 caps for Wales to his name, having scored 14 goals, and was a part of the Welsh side that reached the Euro 2016 semi-finals, with Ramsey being named in the 'Team of the Tournament'.

Ramsey will become only the third Welshman to pull on the Black & White shirt in the history of Juventus, following the great, John Charles and former European Golden Boot winner, Ian Rush.

Nice work if you can get it!

Someone else on nice twine is our very own Sean O Brien.

The move to London Irish is rumoured to be worth around 450 grand sterling a year to the Carlow man.

The 31 year old Leinster and Ireland star will leave the province after the world cup to link up with Declan Kidney who gave the Tullow native his international debut in 2009.

Best of luck both!
