What a song!! And what a party piece too...

The 'Gingerbread Man' was in this morning (that's his Halloween alias) to give us a WORLD EXCLUSIVE listen to his brand new track "Hearts On Fire", live in studio.

We've all heard of "The Midas Touch", but there should be a new phrase for Gav coined "The Gavin Touch", because everything he touches turns into awsomeness!!

He spoke to Muireann about the workings of his latest song, and how it was a case of "let's try and make a quick song for a festival" - so he worked his magic and beefed things up a bit.

The Dubliner has had a massive year on the music scene, and has been on the go non-stop, as he explains it's not all the glamour everyone makes it out to be. He loves it, has lots of fun, but it's a hard graft.

Muireann also asked him about his upcoming gigs on the 6th and 7th of December in the Bord Gáis Theatre, Dublin, and teased us with his new album being released early next year.

Gavin told us a great story about him getting boozed up and asking James Cordon on a date (of sorts), and how the two lads get on so well. He even treated us to his amazing Chewbacca impression.

He also played a stripped-back version of his collaborative track "Tired" from Alan Walker.
