Dublin, prepare the pom poms, congregate the cheerleaders, mass the mascots, hustle the hotdogs and follow the footballers, we’ve got a game to go to!
Georgia Tech College are swapping their Bobby Dodd Stadium grounds for the Aviva while the Boston College Eagles are bringing their life (in the fast lane) to Lansdowne Road, this Saturday 3rd September, kicking off at 12.30pm.
Up to 25,000 people are expected to touchdown in Dublin, travelling from both the US and Europe.
There is never too much of a good thing right? Right! So, if your drop kicking yourself that you can’t make it to the Aviva on Saturday, fear not!
The event organisers, Irish American Events Ltd, will also host triple-header of high school American Football games at Donnybrook Stadium on Friday 2nd September, with all proceeds being donated to Special Olympics Ireland.
But that’s not all!
Our American friends will really arrive in style, with a parade through the streets of Dublin that ends with a pep rally at Trinity College Dublin on Thursday, 1st September.
Sure our very own Anton Savage upped his cheer-leading skills, and is now ready for the big game, thanks to this lot, who popped by Today FM back in April.
