Birds Eye Potato Waffles are a staple of many an Irish kitchen, and have been the staple diet of many a student over the years and thanks to a Mullingar man they will finally be available Down Under.
Brian Nooney, who has been living in Australia since 2008, missed waffles so much that he started an online campaign to bring them to Australia .
Thanks to his Facebook campaign “Please bring Birdseye Potato Waffles to Australia” his culinary dream came true when Birds Eye Australia this week announced that they are launching Potato Waffles in Australia thanks to his campaign!
Sadly, as Brian revealed to Anton, he will miss the launch as he is coming home for Christmas this weekend! No doubt he will be thanking his brother John Nooney when he gets home, as Brian’s campaign went global after a post on John’s Mullingar News and Views Facebook page!
