The people of Youghal want to celebrate their connection to the classic book and film 'Moby Dick', but their celebratory plans are being thwarted by their local Council! Perhaps they could go to East Galway and pick up the 100 uneaten beef stroganoffs left over from the election to 'butter up' their Council members?

Ronan Casey and Anton also had shocking news about what the water in mid-Kerry is doing to locals. Allegedly women have been warned not to wash their hair and men have been told the water will do this.

All of this is leading to a call to boycott Irish Water.

Elsewhere, God's slave and messenger was in Leitrim, Donald Trump's Wall in County Clare is not a wall per se, as the Clare Champion found it to be a “€10 million beach augmentation coastal protection barrier” that is 2.8km long and uses 200,000 tonnes of limestone and is, as they say in America, a rock armour. So now.

All this and more in Ronan's 'All News Is Local' slot every Friday on the Anton Savage Show on Today FM. For more on Ronan, see his Twitter and check out his book, 'Medium-Sized Town, Fairly Big Story', possibly still available in some bookshops and also from Gill
