Saoirse Ronan is rightfully being talked about in Hollywood as a very possible nominee for an Oscar for her incredible performance in ‘Brooklyn’.
Ever since her incredible talent came to the fore in ‘Atonement’, folks from outside Ireland have struggled with the pronunciation of her name ( we're looking at YOU Denis Quaid) so she went on Ellen to finally school the world on how it’s done.
She even had to wear a sign for goodness sakes.
Ryan Gosling previously taught the lesson, "it’s Ser-sha, like inertia." Ronan thanked Gosling for his service, explaining that Ryan isn't pronounced Rye-an, but actually, "blond Canadian Jesus."
