This year, 12 self-styled 'apostles' from Kilnamanagh in Tallaght decided to take their now traditional costumed 12 Pubs of Christmas Challenge up a notch. Having 'won' Christmas last year by dressing up as the contents of a large Cadburys Selection Box, this year they turned their attentions to dressing up as the most famous Christmas truck of them all, as one of their members Joe O'Connor reveals to Neil Delamere, in the hotseat for Anton this week.

Joe says that last year the gang of pals dressed up as chocolate bars and ended up receiving a charity donation from Cadburys for doing so. They decided to dress up as a truck this year, with one of the gang making the costume (complete with working Christmas lights) in his Tallaght home. Most of the lads didn't take a drink so there was plenty of designated drivers to bring the truck home!

They started their odyssey outside of their local, The Cuckoo's Nest in Tallaght. However, the pub was closed so they started with a can before 'driving' into Dublin City Centre. Joe reveals the highlight of their city sojourn was when they arrived in Dame Street at the same time as families left The Olympia panto!

He also teased that the gang are already working on a costume for next year! The story broke in the Tallaght Echo and Caroline Slevin took the pics.
