There’s a new D’Arcy in town! We’re delighted to announce that Fergal D’Arcy will join the weekday schedule on Today FM from next month.  Fergal comes to us from his hugely popular afternoon show on iRadio, “I Go Home”. Fergal will host his own evening show from 7-9pm Monday to Thursday and 4-7pm on Sundays on Today FM.

In his 8 years with iRadio, Fergal has built up a huge following of over 100,000 listeners across 15 counties in the North East/North West region, with his unique brand of entertaining content and creative ideas.

Fergal picked up a Gold PPI Award for 'Light Hearted Magazine Programme' in 2008 and a Silver PPI Award in 2013 for 'Best Music Programme'. He is also a well known club DJ, having played numerous music festivals, including The Electric Picnic and Oxegen.

Our CEO, Peter McPartlin said earlier: “We’ve been admiring Fergal’s on-air creativity for some time and I’m delighted that we’ve managed to get one of the brightest young talents on Irish radio onto Today FM”

Fergal’s looking forward to going national and had lovely things to say about us too: “I've always prided myself on being an ideas man more than a presenter, with this in mind a move to what in my opinion, is the most dynamic and creative station in the country, is a step in the right direction. Anyone that knows me 'expects something different' every time they see me .... I'll fit right in.”

Fergal will take over the reins from our own Colm O’Sullivan who has presented ‘The Mix Up’ here on Today FM since 2013. Don’t’ worry though, Colm’s going nowhere. He’s taking up a fancy new role in programming!
