A LOYAL Daniel O’Donnell fan has been left distraught after finding out that his idol won’t be coming to Plymouth on his 2016 tour.
David Marks from St Budeaux has been a fan of the Irish singer since the young age of 14.
He took a liking to his Dad’s collection of O’Donnell’s country music as a youngster, and with every song that played David’s devotion to the singer grew.
As the 18-year-old eagerly anticipated O’Donnell’s tour dates for this year, he was shocked to find that the country singer didn't have Plymouth on his tour list.
The teen said it would “ruin his life” if he couldn’t see Daniel this year, and with the closest venue being Bristol’s Colston Hall to see the famous singer, David feels the trip would be near impossible for him to make.
The City College student has seen the singer twice in the city; the first time was at the Plymouth Pavilions in 2012 with his Dad, Ray.
David then waited for hours after the show to queue up and get a photo with his hero.
David is now considering starting a campaign or petition to try and get his idol to add Plymouth to his tour dates, which kick off on August 9.
The dedicated fan said: “Daniel is a great singer; I’m gutted he isn't coming to Plymouth.
He looks pretty upset in fairness.
