A modern take on the wooden spoon?

We all remember the fear of trying to leg it up the stairs when the wooden spoon came out and feeling as though your mother had superhuman speed.

Add some teenage angst into the mix and you've got a pretty explosive situation.

Take this mother daughter duo for example. After a heated family argument, it seems the daughter had had enough.

The girl, thought to be from Mexico, can be heard rowing with her mother before legging it away from the fight.

She may have won the battle, but her mother certainly won the war. In a moment of sheer frustration, the mother took of her flip flop and threw it in her daughter's direction.

The video was shared on Twitter and people are hailing the mom as an absolute hero:

Amazingly, even though she's roughly 30 metres away, the shoe clocks her right between the shoulders and she falls to the ground.

Good ole Mammy can't believe her trick shot and bursts into hysterics at her shoe throwing accuracy.

Now that's a woman who has played county.
