He held his own with superstar Dermot Kennedy.
Not many people can say that, but Michael Moloney is not many people.
This teenager from Mayo is a superstar in the making.
The Crossmolina native had Ireland in the palm of his hands on the Toy Show.
His stunning tribute to his late father Emmet alongside his surprise singing partner Dermot Kennedy was one of the highlights (see below).
He joined Fergal Darcy on TodayFM on the release of his debut single:
Michael wrote and recorded the song in Windmill Lane Recording Studios. Working with Grammy Nominated producer, arranger and music composer Gavin Murphy who has worked with Niall Horan, Van Morrison, Gregory Porter, and Kodaline.
"It was just amazing to be in Windmill Lane with Gavin. I was walking around in pure joy. I saw a really nice Steinway piano and started playing it and Gavin says to me, "You know David Bowie and Prince played on that!" I was like whoa okay wow!"
