A new report finds that growing numbers of students are getting career advice from unqualified staff.

Up to one in six schools are currently using unqualified staff to advise teenagers on their future careers, according to the Institute of Guidance Counsellors.

That's up 12 per cent from four years ago.

It's after cut backs were imposed around career guidance in 2012.
