A search is underway for 10 sailors who are missing after a US destroyer collided with an oil tanker in one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world.
Four others have been flown to hospital after the crash east of Singapore last night to be treated 'for non-life threatening injuries'.
A fifth injured sailor did not require hospital treatment.
The crash happened at around 5.25am local time.
The US ship - the USS John S. McCain - is said to have sustained damaged to its side.
Donald Trump says his thoughts and prayers are with the sailors on board the ship.
Senator John McCain - who the ship is named after - said:
Cindy & I are keeping America's sailors aboard the USS John S McCain in our prayers tonight - appreciate the work of search & rescue crews https://t.co/jzk9giXbfg

It is the second such incident involving a US Navy ship in recent months.
Seven sailors died in June when the USS Fitzgerald and a container ship collided in waters off Japan.
