The Department of Foreign Affairs is advising pregnant women to consider postponing non-essential travel to Florida.
Health Officials in the US say the number of cases reported in the state has risen to 14.
Zika's been linked to birth defects in babies whose mothers had the virus while pregnant, it's also believed to be sexually transmitted.
Florida Governor Rick Scott has confirmed that the new cases of Zika Virus were infected by local mosquitos.
People in the state are being urged to avoid parts of central Miami where it's believed Zika is actively circulating.

Residents in the city are also being asked to empty outdoor containers with water, to prevent mosquitos from spreading the condition.
Here at home, people are being advised to take the usual precautions when travelling, but pregnant women are being told to postpone non-essential travel is possible.
