Gardai are investigating a fatal crash in Cork earlier today which claimed the life of a 17 year-old boy.
The single vehicle collision happened on the Lisgriffin Road at Drumdowney at around 4.10pm this afternoon.
The driver of the car, a 17 year-old boy was fatally injured when the car he was travelling in overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other people - a boy and two girls-all in their late teens-who were in the car were uninjured but were treated at the scene for shock.
The Lisgriffen road was closed to allow gardai to examine the scene but has since reopened.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
