1,751 New Cases Of COVID-19 Reported In Ireland Today


1,751 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Ireland this evening.

343 patients are in hospital with the virus, down 17 from yesterday.

59 patients are in intensive care, up three.

The five-day moving average of new cases now stands at 1,584 - a further decrease compared to yesterday's figure of 1,633.

Monaghan has the highest 14-day incidence rate in the country, at nearly 1,600 cases per 100,000 people.

That's over three times the national average, which is 522.
