70,000 homes and businesses are without power this evening.
Most of these premises are located throughout Cork, Tipperary, Westmeath, Longford, Sligo, Roscommon and Leitrim.
Power has been restored to more than 124,000 people who lost power due to Storm Ellen last night.

ESB Network says its crews will work late into the evening in a bid to restore to the 70,000 homes, farms and businesses, without electricity.
However, they are warning that some customers in areas of the South, West and Midlands will remain without power tonight.
A spokesperson has advised people in these areas to prepare for this morning.
