Homeless charity Focus Ireland says 2015 was the busiest in its 30 year history.
They offered support to over 12,500 people last year, an increase of nine percent on 2014.
Housing Minister Simon Coveney launched the charity's annual report this morning:

90 families have become homeless every month so far this year, compared to 60 a month last year with over 2000 children in emergency.
Homelessness is also a major issue for young adults with 477 people under 25 in emergency accommodation at the end of 2015 a rise in 21 percent over the year.
To help tackle the crisis, Focus Ireland has redeveloped 71 housing units in Stanhope Green in Dublin for people who were previously homeless.
The charity has committed to delivering 150 homes a year until 2019 providing an extra 600 homes.
