A budget of 25 million euro has been allocated to Dublin City Council to keep the capital's streets litter free this year.
But the problem of illegal dumping adds huge cost to the job, with certain areas blighted by visible rubbish.

Last month, the council put up pictures of people caught dumping at Frankfort Cottages in the north inner city.

Today FM Listener Lynn Cook collected 10 bags of rubbish outside her house near Kilcullen, Co. Kildare.
DCC have footage of the person who dumped this rubbish in North Strand in Dublin and will be visiting with Gardai soon.
