Anthony Foley died due to a heart disorder that led to a fatal lung condition.
A French coroner's report has found an "acute pulmonary oedema" caused the death of the 42 year old.
The Munster and Ireland rugby legend was found dead in his hotel room in Paris on Sunday.
Anthony Foley's family have confirmed that his remains will be flown to Shannon airport today.
He will lie in repose at St Flanan's Church in his home town of Killaloe on Thursday evening.
Funeral mass will take place at midday on Friday.
Attendance will be limited to friends and family.
