A dedicated helpline has been established by the Child and Family Agency, Tusla, in response to the discovery of a baby girl's body in Bray yesterday.
Tusla says the phone line will be manned by experienced, professional staff who will provide all support necessary should the mother call.
Gardai are appealing for the mother to come forward, as they're concerned for her wellbeing.

Speaking in relation to the case of an infant girl found in Wicklow yesterday, Fred McBride Chief Executive, Tusla – Child and Family Agency, said:
“The death of a young infant is a tragedy for the whole community. The priority for Tusla at this time is the health and wellbeing of the mother and an appeal has issued for her to come forward to seek the help she requires. A dedicated helpline has been established by Tusla which will be manned by experienced professional staff. In the event that the mother contacts us she will be provided with all necessary support and her call will be treated in a sensitive and compassionate manner. Tusla is also working closely with An Garda Síochána to ensure required assistance is in place."
