Countries around the world have been holding ceremonies for Armistice Day - which marked the end of World War One.
It's exactly 99 years since the guns on the Western Front fell silent, after the Allies and Germany agreed to stop hostilities.
Almost a century later in Australia, Sydney's iconic opera house has been lit up with poppies to commemorate the anniversary.
Services have also been held across Britain, France, Serbia, Belgium and Canada.
Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday commemorations will also take place across the island of Ireland this weekend, including St Patrick's Cathedral and Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin.
Tomorrow the Taoiseach will head to Enniskillen and Heritage Minister Heather Humphreys will head to Belfast to lay wreathes in memory of those who died.
