The baby whose body was found at a Wicklow recycling plant last week has been laid to rest.

Around 100 mourners gathered in Redford Cemetery in Greystones this afternoon for graveside prayers.

Gardai made it known where the baby they called Alannah was buried, in case her family ever come forward.

Superintendent Pat Ward says they hope her mother gets the help she needs;

Despite a nationwide appeal, nobody has claimed the infant.
