A baby eastern Bongo has been born at Dublin Zoo, weighing 20 kilograms.
It brings the bongo herd at the zoo to four, as the species is critically endangered, with fewer than 100 left in the wild in a remote part of Kenya.
The calf was born to first-time mother Nanyuki and father Hodari late last week, and is healthy and feeding well.
In a statement, the zoo says it doesn't know the sex of the calf yet, and they are notoriously shy so it might take a while to spot the new arrival on the African plains.
