The 32nd Dáil will meet for the first time this morning - with no prospect of a government being formed.
The 158 TDs include 35 women, 52 first-time TDs, and six people in their 20s - but will not elect a Taoiseach today.
The 158 members of the 32nd Dáil will take their seats in the chamber at half-ten this morning to hear the official results of Election 2016 being announced.
They'll then begin to elect a Ceann Comhairle - the chairman of the Dáil - which will be chosen by secret ballot for the first time.
Five candidates have been put forward, but it's thought that Fianna Fáil's Seán Ó Fearghail is the early favourite.
That ballot will take until lunchtime - when attention then turns to choosing a new Taoiseach.
Up to five people could be nominated for the role: the leaders of Fine Gael, fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin MAY be joined by nominees from the Anti-Austerity Alliance People Before Profit, and a nominee from the INpdeendent Alliance.
But none of those candidates will be able to win the support of a majority of TDs - and so the day will end with no new Taoiseach in place, and with Enda Kenny having to resign, continiung as a caretaker Taoiseach.

The Dáil will then adjourn for up to a month - and all eyes will focus on whether a so-called 'Grand coalition' can be formed.
If not, the 32nd Dail could be giving way to another general election before the year is out.
