The man thought to be responsible for the Berlin terror attack had pledged allegiance to so-called Islamic State.
A news agency affiliated to the terrorist group has released footage this afternoon, showing Amri declaring support for ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
The video adds creedance to the group's earlier claim that it was responsible for the attack on Monday night, when 12 people were killed after a hijacked truck was driven through a crowded Christmas market.
Amri died earlier after being shot dead in Milan, following an exchange of gunfire with police.
The Tunisian man drew a gun on police and shot an officer when he was stopped at what police said was a routine checkpoint.
German prosecutors have now turned their attention to the possibility that Amri had accomplices in organising Monday night's attack, in which 12 people were killed.
Other details of Amri's past have also emerged today - including the fact that he had a previous conviction in his home country Tunisia for hijacking a truck.
