The Cabinet will meet this morning for the fourth time in eight days.
The Taoiseach and his ministers are to discuss the Finance Bill, essential to implement Budget 2018.
More than half of yesterday’s Cabinet meeting was spent on Storm Ophelia so ministers never got to discuss the bill.
It’s the only item on today's agenda, and among its most commented provisions is the changes to commercial stamp duty.
That was the cash cow from last week’s budget - tripling the stamp duty from 2% to 6%.
The first vote on it has already passed the Dáil.
However, there are anomalies where contracts for agricultural and commercial sales had been signed before the Budget, even though the sales weren’t fully complete.
There will also be assurances on the passing of farms from parent to children without getting hit by the stamp duty.
