Asylum seekers should be allowed to work in Ireland after 6 months in the country.
That's one of the proposals from the Irish Refugee Council on how to implement a Supreme Court ruling on the right to work.
In May, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously in a case taken by a Burmese man who had spent eight years in direct provision, that the laws preventing him working in Ireland before his status was decided were unconstitutional.
Ireland is the only country in the EU that bans people seeking refuge from working.
The government now has until November to come up with a response to implement the Supreme Court ruling.
