A Norwegian court has ruled that right-wing extremist Anders Breivik's human rights have been partially violated during his imprisonment for terrorism and mass murder.
He successfully argued his solitary confinement amounted to inhuman and degrading treatment under European law.
But the court dismissed another claim that his right to a private and family life were violated by limiting his correspondence.
The Norwegian government now faces court costs of around €40,000
