The Dáil's due back in business today - but will again fail to elect a new Taoiseach.
The failure will see Enda Kenny and Micheal Martin hold talks this evening about forming a government, 40 days after the election.

This afternoon's Dáil sittings will seem strangely familiar - a near carbon copy of the events from two weeks ago.
Fine Gael, Fianna Fáil, Sinn Féin and the Anti-Austerity Alliance/People Before Profit will all nominate a Taoiseach - the latter's Ruth Coppinger will be the first woman ever nominated for the job - but none will have enough support to get elected.

In fact, we could be further away from having a Taoiseach than we were two weeks ago, as Enda Kenny can no longer depend on the support of Labour's 7 TDs.

He'll hold a final meeting with independents this morning, in a final plea to get them onside - but even all 15 of them wouldn't be enough to get him into power this evening.
That means he'll instead be meeting the Fianna Fáil leader Michael Martin - the first step towards a working government of some sort.
