John Delaney has denied any role or knowledge of the handling of Ireland's Olympic tickets.
The FAI chief executive has broken his silence about the controversy in a lengthy statement this afternoon, saying the time is right to clarify some matters around his role with the OCI.
He says a Brazilian warrant for the seizure of his passport was withdrawn 10 days ago - and that police have never made contact with him surrounding their investigations.
But on the direct subject of the ticketing claims, John Delaney says his role as second vice-president does not involve him in the day-to-day operations of the OCI.
He adds that he had no role or involvement in teh handling of tickets, and no knowledge of the appointment of Pro 10 as ticket handlers - claiming this wasn't even brought ot the board.
He also says he has left his legal advisors to consider some of what he calls the "inaccurate and high profile reporting" about his link to the case.
