The Department of Education is looking for people to cover supervision and subsitution duties while secondary school teachers go on strike.

Senior members of the ASTI will meet Department of Education officials today.

They'll be discussing the pay row which has prompted the several strike days in the coming weeks.

Minister Richard Bruton is due to cut short a trade mission to China and return on Friday because of the situation.
