Both Fine Gael and Fianna Fail are claiming they have won the battle over water charges.
It follows last night's deal, signing off on the report of Water Charges Committee.
It recommends households consuming 1.7 times the average useage will face charges.
It's estimated that will affect just 8% of Irish households.
The report will be debated tonight in the Dáil.
