The threat of terrorism is to be top of the agenda when EU Foreign Ministers meet in Brussels on Monday.
The meeting comes after a raid foiled a terrorist plot targeting police officers.
Police stormed an apartment in Verviers in the east of the country yesterday, killing two and injuring a third man.
Authorities have arrested 15 people from the same terrorist network in the hours after the Belgian raid, while French police separately detained 12 people in the suburbs of Paris.
The funeral of the editor in chief of Charlie Hebdo Stephane Charbonnier or Charb, has also been held in Paris today, where a hostage situation, not linked to terrorism, has caused further upset. A gunman was arrested and a number of people who were being held hostage at a post office have been released. It's thought that there was no link to terrorism and its reported the man is known to the authorities.
