There's now increasing speculation that the general election will be officially called tomorrow.
It's after the weekly meeting of Fine Gael ministers - which usually takes place on Tuesday mornings - was brought forward to tonight.
The news adds weight to reports that Enda Kenny will call a meeting of the Fine Gael parliamentary party tomorrow, to brief them on election strategy, before then holding a joint press conference with Joan Burton, and then visiting Aras an Úachtaráin to seek the dissolution of the Dáil.
Preisdent Higgins, who is the only person with the power to dissolve the Dáil and therefore begin the election campaign, has no appointments on either Tuesday or Wednesday, but leaves for a personal holiday on Sunday week, February 14th.
Meanwhile there doesn't yet appear to be decision on when polling will actually take place - as the minister responsible for setting the polling date plays down the prospect of a row.
The polling order, declaring the polling date and hours, is the responsibility of the environment minister, Labour's deputy leader Alan Kelly - who wants polling to take place on Friday 26th February, as Labour is hoping for the support of student voters returning home for the weekend.
But Fine Gael is reportedly more keen on a Thursday poll - purportedly because many Fine Gael supporters might not get to vote on the Friday if they are travelling to Twickenham for the following day's Six Nations match between England and Ireland.
Another reason why Fine Gael would prefer polling on the Thursday is because it would then take place on February 25th - the exact same day on which the 2011 election was held, where Fianna Fail lost three-quarters of its seats.
This date would allow Fine Gael to again highlight the economic collapse that took place in Fianna Fáil's last tenure, and potentially eat into any swing vote that might go Fianna Fáil's way.
