Gardaí have begun digging an area in Dublin as part of the search for missing man Trevor Deely. They're investigating whether he was killed by a known criminal, and have begun excavating the site in Chapelizod.
They launched the search on Saturday after receiving new information relating to the Kildare man, who's missing for nearly 17 years.

The then 22-year-old went missing after attending his work Christmas party on Friday December 8th, 2000.
He was last seen on CCTV footage crossing Baggot Street Bridge and heading towards Haddington Road in Dublin city centre.
A complete review of the investigation was launched last year.
